my favourite evening since the blog has been running was the pastel evening with anne benson, so informative & encuoraging for us beginners in pastels
I have enjoyed every evening so far in the current programme.
( Mind you I have to say that as I am the programme organiser ! ! )
As watercolour is my only real love
( Don`t tell Eileen )then I would say that it was probably the Watercolour Demonstration with Geoff Kersey that has had the biggest impact so far
I have enjoyed all the evenings since I returned in November. We are a very friendly group and its great to see the excellent demos. Almost everything is new to me as I have only tried monoprinting and 3D crafts, with a brief intro to drawing and oils many years ago.I'm so sorry to have missed the Xmas tree night, and I thought our win was much deserved. Well done Paul and everyone who contributed. (The choir called off sick, by the way!) If you are interested in my glass (I had an exhibition in Helsinki this Autumn) see www.hiaa.fi or www.studioe.fi and click on "kuva galleria" for the pics.
I enjoyed all of this year but my favourite was when glossop joined us and we all viewed each others work, what incredible talent there is. such inspiration for a raw beginner like myself.
I enjoy all the meetings of Mellor Art Soc- friendly people, sharing their painting experiences with a sense of humour and fun.
As a watercolour landscape painter, I always find Geoff Kersey instructive to watch but I also enjoyed Paul's evening of creating Christmas tree decorations from recycled and found objects (buttering up the Blogmaster!)
I didn't expect to, as I only paint landscapes and don't "do crafts" but, after prising my jigsaw piece decoration from the table top where I'd stuck it, I really felt I'd achieved something!
I enjoy all things arty, especially if they get me out of doing house work. I loved the Christmas meal, and all the "cheese and wine" we have, but the evening that stretched me most was the Bill Eley, drawing a moving dancer. Brilliant. see you all soon.
